The new iPhones have arrived in Vietnam, Apple’s hottest market, with some pretty hefty price tags.
The most expensive of the bunch is the 128GB iPhone 6 that will set you back between VND30 million and VND40 million at mobile phone shops in Hanoi, according to VN Express.
If that’s a bit too rich for your blood, you can pick up the comparatively cheap 16GB version for VND26 million, though perhaps it’s worth it to catch a flight to Singapore where the same model is sold at the Apple Store for VND16 million.
The local prices should come as no surprise given the increasing popularity of the brand in Vietnam:
“In the first half of fiscal 2014, sales of Apple iPhones in Vietnam have increased nearly threefold, more than any other market in the world. To compare, iPhone sales increased 55 percent and 28 percent, respectively, in India and China in the same six-month period. In Brazil and Russia, they were up 61 percent and 97 percent, respectively,” reports the Financial Times Financial Times.
If you’re willing to shell out the cash for the new models, we won’t judge.
